What Happens in Vegas
The strip in Las Vegas is not the only place to have a great time. On July 14, Lindo Michoacan in Las Vegas provided Tequila Aficionados a wonderful evening of great food, great company and the opportunity to savor some amazing Tequilas.
Agavegal Tequila 101 gave enthusiastic guests enough information to empower them to go forth boldly into the world of Tequila. Never again to buy a mixto when 100% Agave is so abundant. They will purchase tequila and ask questions like how long has this Reposado been aged? What type of barrels is this Anejo aged in? Is this a Highland or lowland Tequila? They will demand margaritas made with 100% agave and not be shy about asking. They will be empowered. Kinda the way guys ask the size of the engine or questions about the brakes locking when buying a new car.
That is my goal, if my students were paying close attention between abundant tastings of Partida, Herradura and La Fortaleza in all three classes..It was challenging enough trying to decide which was their favorite among these wonderful brands
It took several tastings to reach a decision....It may take a few more, you cannot rush these things................
Lindo Michoacan, in addition to serving the most amazing Mexican food in Vegas carries a great selection of Tequilas and encourages patrons, most are regulars, to expand their Tequila palates . This resulted in a room full of enthusiastic guests creating an energy only experienced when drinking and sharing premium Tequila with like minded folks.
I say this often but believe it to be true. Tequila lovers are the greatest. They are open to new experiences and value the history, traditions, respect the culture,and seek knowledge of the process of creating such a unique spirit. This fun group were interested in learning more and developing a more hands on experience. Looks like a Lindo trip to the Tequila region is on the horizon......Can't wait
